We Value Your Choice: At Maalagha, we respect your right to delete your account and personal data. This page explains our account deletion process for caregivers, volunteers, patients, and families.
You can delete your Maalagha account in two ways:
When you delete your account, all of your personal and health data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Your account itself enters a deleted state that you can recover within 90 days by signing in again — after 90 days the account is removed for good. See sections 3 and 4 for details.
Email our support team at:
hello@qurig.comPlease include your registered email address and user type (caregiver, volunteer, or family member) in your request.
Follow these steps to request deletion of your Maalagha account:
Send an email to hello@qurig.com with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include the following details in your email:
Our support team may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request. This is a security measure to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
Once verified, we will send you a confirmation email acknowledging your deletion request and the expected processing timeline.
Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within the specified timeframe. You will receive a final confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
Account deletion requests are processed according to the following timeline:
Important: As soon as you delete your account, your personal and health data is erased and cannot be recovered. During the processing period you will not be able to log in or access Maalagha services.
Deleting your account removes your data, but the account itself is not immediately erased — it is placed in a deleted state so that you can come back if you change your mind:
In short: the account can be reactivated within 90 days; the data behind it cannot be recovered at any point.
A guardian or family member can delete an individual patient (a "Pal") from within the app. This is a complete, irreversible hard deletion of that patient's entire record:
Warning: Patient data deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. Once a patient's data is deleted it cannot be restored, even within the 90-day account-recovery window.
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
| Data Type | Deletion Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Profile Information | Deleted | Name, email, phone number, profile photo, address |
| Account Credentials | Deleted | Login credentials, authentication tokens, passwords |
| Activity Logs | Deleted | Daily logs, emotion tracking, sleep records, workout data |
| Care Sessions | Deleted | Session history, notes, reports, check-in records |
| Caregiver/Volunteer Connections | Deleted | Matches, connections, communication history |
| Health Information | Deleted | Patient health records, diagnoses, care plans (server-stored) |
| Payment Information | Deleted | Billing details, transaction history (except legally required records) |
| Notifications | Deleted | Push notification tokens, notification history |
| Preferences & Settings | Deleted | App settings, notification preferences, customizations |
Certain data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers. This includes:
Removing Local Data: To completely remove locally stored data, you must uninstall the Maalagha app from your device. This will delete all cached files and local preferences stored on your device.
While we delete most of your data, some information may be retained for legal and compliance purposes:
If you delete your account as a family member or guardian:
If you delete your account as a caregiver or volunteer:
Warning: Deleting your account permanently erases all your data — this cannot be undone. The account itself can be recovered within 90 days by signing in again (see Section 4), but your data will not be restored, and after 90 days the account is gone permanently.
If you're considering account deletion due to specific concerns, we offer alternative solutions:

If privacy is your concern, you can adjust your privacy settings, limit data sharing, or opt out of marketing communications without deleting your account.
